Bold Street Coffee: Liverpool’s first independent Coffee House and still the best.

Lots of places serve great coffee. Some serve great food too. But does your coffee house inspire you?  Why not? This one does all three!

Supporting local artists

The clean cut interior provides lends perfectly to showcasing art. The current exhibition is by local artist Jane MacNeil. It exudes passion for Liverpool and challenges us  to allow ourselves to be seen as we really are.

The irony of taking a photo of her pictures for  social media was not lost on me. I fought the urge to take the perfect one!

Curiosities

As I ate my delicious Acai Bowl, I found myself wondering whether the bike hung on the wall was an ‘integral’ part of the interior design or just a storage option. Either way I loved it.

Who needs an iPod?

A Bob Dylan  Vinyl accompanied my velvety Flat White.  I concluded you can trust a barista with a record player behind the counter!

The art of intrigue

I was curious about the man with no face on the exterior.  I wanted to know who’s bike was hanging above me. I wanted to know who’s idea it was to hang skateboards on the wall. I could have asked I suppose, but wheres the fun in that!

The best coffee houses leave their mark on you well after you have left.  Bold street coffee had a lasting affect on me and I can’t wait to go back.
